NPC

Another unique feature of the 500 Seasons universe is the NPCs. Gamers are familiar with NPCs in games being guides to the story and, at worst, expendable material or just background. In 500 Seasons, all NPCs become independent participants in the story. Our unique sentient artificial intelligence can make them act autonomously.

The user can now live a different life and simulate the average life of an NPC, which other characters will expect. The player can talk to NPCs or "inhabit" just like Venom inhabited Eddie Brock - live his life or walk around other metaverses. This will affect the changes in the following seasons and the NPCs' characters.

All NPCs can be divided into two types: actors and creators. Actors will be present in scenes, minding their own business and acting out their roles. The creators are the original inhabitants of the exploded world of Utu (see UTU Civilization). The NPCs will go to their scripted scenes as a job from which they cannot be distracted. Anything that happens outside of that job can be used and completed at the owner's discretion.

Only when the Great Render happens, then the players will know what kind of character they own. After rendering the universe, the Creators (Utu/NPC creators) will live their autonomous lives. They will reward former owners with gifts and 500 Seasons secrets for their freedom.
